Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Raditya Villa Ubud was a serene and delightful experience. The villa, nestled amidst lush rice paddies, offered a tranquil escape from the bustling city life. The rooms were spacious, with a charming touch of Balinese décor, overlooking the picturesque rice fields. Daily housekeeping ensured a clean and comfortable environment, while the outdoor shower concept, amidst the natural symphony of crickets and cockerels, was a refreshing and unique experience. The hospitality of Made, his wife, and the staff was exceptional. They provided a simple yet delicious daily breakfast, and their willingness to accommodate guests - whether it be scooter rides to the main road or arranging for a scooter rental for exploring the town - added a personal touch to the stay. The small pool in front of the villa, though a bit cold for a dip, was a lovely spot to unwind and soak in the peaceful surroundings. As a marine biologist, I appreciate establishments that embrace sustainability, and Raditya Villa Ubud's eco-friendly practices and the serene village setting resonated deeply with me. The absence of cars within the village, the emphasis on foot or scooter transportation, and the clean air added to the eco-conscious charm of the place. The proximity to cafes and the Yoga House for morning classes further enhanced the experience, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration.Raditya Villa Ubud's tranquil ambiance, warm hospitality, and unique village charm make it an ideal retreat for those seeking a peaceful getaway in the heart of Ubud. Whether you prefer peaceful mornings by the rice fields or adventures exploring the nearby attractions, this hidden gem encapsulates the essence of a serene Ubud experience. Perfect for solo travelers, couples, or small groups looking for a peaceful and eco-conscious stay amidst Bali's natural beauty.
